The 2016 Bloom Festival kicks off next Friday with the official launch being held in Bremer Bay! The festival runs from September 16 until October 12 with more than 50 events and activities to be held in towns across the Great Southern hinterland.

Wildflower displays, guided tours, open gardens, long table meals, art and craft, wine tasting and more, there is something for everyone. Not to be outdone Mother Nature will provide a back-drop of spectacular wildflowers with some of the best displays on show throughout the Fitzgerald River National Park and across the region.

Bremer Bay and the Shire of Jerramungup will play host to a number of events during the festival. Bloomin’ arts and crafts will be on display at the gorgeous Old Telegraph Station with exhibits of painting, photography, botanical books, embroidery to name a few, all embracing spring in beautiful Bremer Bay.

Ladies that lunch will linger longer at the Bremer Bay Ladies Long Table Luncheon to be held on Wednesday 21 September. Or perhaps collect an orchid brochure from the friendly staff at the local community centre and enjoy a leisurely self-guided wander to view these exquisite blooms.

Now in its sixth year the Bloom Festival showcases many of the Hidden Treasures of the magnificent Great Southern region. Spring into action and get involved!
