Stargazers will have a rare opportunity to glimpse five visible planets in the night sky at the same time through August, all with the naked eye.

Either side of the Full Moon on 18 August is apparently the ideal time. From about 7PM a clear view to the west where the Sun has set  will provide the best viewing opportunity. The Great Southern region is blessed with a lack of light pollution so spots along the coast are ideal.

Get spotting!
